3DX-Ray and ATEK Secure First Portable X-Ray Systems Sale to Australia

Following the appointment of a new marketing partner in Australia, ATEK, 3DX-RAY have secured a contract to supply four portable X-Ray scanning systems to an Australian Government customer.

The systems to be supplied are the ThreatScan®-LSC, a combination package including a large format ThreatScan®-LS1 panel, a compact ThreatScan®-LS3 panel with back-pack, a tablet PC imaging station and the I-Gen generator. This combination system provides great deployment flexibility for a wide variety of operational roles and threat scenarios.

The systems are conventionally known for their use in the military EOD role, identifying hidden Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in bags, packages and objects. But they also have an important role in customs and border security, airport security, VIP protection, vehicle check points and event security.

3DX-RAY LTD, Sales and Marketing Director, Vincent Deery said: “We are really pleased to be working with ATEK and are especially pleased with this first sale to an important Australian customer.”

Managing Director of ATEK commented: “We are always looking to enhance our portfolio with innovative, best-in-class technologies that support our customers in the technical aspects of national security, counter terrorism, law enforcement and public safety. So, we are delighted to be working with 3DX-RAY, bringing their world beating technology to Australia.”
